The Artist
| John Romine is a gifted artist from North Alabama whose love for
waterfowl and meticulous attention to detail result in some of the most striking portraits
of ducks and geese available today. An avid duck and deer hunter himself, he injects
a sense of realism into his work that any sportsman or collector can appreciate. His
deep love for wildlife, particularly waterfowl, inspired his interest in art. Born
and raised near Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge, he has had ample opportunity to study
the ways of waterfowl first hand in a setting that has provided an endless source of
subject matter for his illustrations. In addition, it has helped him attain the
authentic detail and accuracy he strives for. John hopes that observing his work
evokes feelings of appreciation for the intricate detail and exquisite beauty of waterfowl
in their natural habitat. Romine, his wife Cindy and daughter Courtney make their
home near Huntsville, Alabama. Courtney shares in her dad's enthusiasm for wildlife,
waterfowl and art and is a talented and aspiring artist herself.
